DI 5.5BPS 5.25” Bipolar In-Wall / In-Ceiling Speaker

Get great surround effects from your favorite movies with Definitive Technology’s DI 5.5BPS bipolar speaker. This speaker installs flush in your wall, and can blend seamlessly into almost any décor. With its paintable, low-profile grille and hidden flange, it’s practically invisible.

Bipolar design gives you a wide rear soundstage
Each driver array consists of one 5-1/2″ midrange paired with a 1″ dome tweeter, for balanced, smoothly blended highs, mids, and lows. Bipolar technology is superb for surround speakers — it spreads the surround effects across the back of your room, giving you more spacious, realistic sound. This gives you the flexibility to install the speaker in places that are less than ideal for a conventional surround speaker.

Building a system
You can use the DI 5.5BPS as the surround speakers in a multi-room music system, or in a home theater system. It’s voice-matched with Definitive Technology’s Mythos and Bipolar speaker lines, so you can mix and match.

An optional Definitive Technology DI 5.5DPS rough-in bracket is recommended for installing this speaker in new construction (brackets sold in pairs).

Did you know?
